Chef Danny Elmaleh’s Contemporary Mediterranean Restaurant to Open in L.A. LIVE
LOS ANGELES, May 17, 2016 /PRNewswire/ — Disruptive Restaurant Group, a subsidiary of sbe, the Los Angeles-based leading lifestyle hospitality company, announced today award-winning Mediterranean restaurant, Cleo, will open its first standalone location this fall in L.A. LIVE, a sports and entertainment district in downtown Los Angeles.
Helmed by Chef Danny Elmaleh, Cleo L.A. LIVE will evoke a contemporary mezze bar, offering its signature shared-plate, social dining experience in a nearly 8,000 square foot space. The restaurant will seat nearly 200 guests in the main dining area and 60 guests on the wrap-around outdoor patio.

Created by Disruptive Restaurant Group’s acclaimed culinary partner Chef Danny Elmaleh, the Cleo brand first opened as an in-hotel dinner hotspot. Cleo has received numerous accolades including being named one of OpenTable’s “50 hottest restaurants in the U.S.” Due to its popularity, Disruptive Restaurant Group will take the Cleo concept to L.A. LIVE, the restaurant’s second Los Angeles outpost and fourth overall location. Cleo’s current locations include: The Redbury Hollywood, SLS Las Vegas and The Redbury South Beach.
Drawn from a variety of influences, Cleo’s cuisine showcases a modern twist on the ingredients and cultures of the eastern and southern Mediterranean. Unique to this location, breakfast and lunch will be available, along with exclusive new menu items. The restaurant will also feature favorite classic Cleo dishes and cocktails.

Dakota Development, another subsidiary of sbe, is developing Cleo L.A. LIVE. It has selected acclaimed interior designer Wendy Haworth to create a signature look for Cleo L.A. LIVE, which will embody the high-energy yet intimate atmosphere that Cleo is known for at its locations.
Cleo L.A. LIVE will mark sbe and Disruptive Restaurant Group’s fourth partnership with AEG Worldwide, a leading sports and entertainment presenter. Disruptive Restaurant Group currently operates Katsuya L.A. LIVE and sbe Nightlife operates Hyde Lounge at Staples Center and Hyde Lounge at T-Mobile Arena.
